According to statistics from the Plant Protection Department, up to now, more than 300 species of pests are resistant to pesticides through many different mechanisms. In particular, chemical resistance is affected by factors such as age, season, weather, frequency of chemical exposure, population density, toxicity and method of poisoning of chemicals.
Small rice leaf roller is a widespread rice pest, often occurring and causing damage during the tillering, panicle initiation, and flowering stages. Leaf rollers cause damage to rice all year round, commonly occurring in the winter-spring and summer-autumn crops. If there are no good control measures, they will cause serious damage to farmers.
Unlike other pests, rice grain smut is caused by many factors. Therefore, finding the cause and preventing rice grain smut causes many difficulties for farmers.
Plant protection drugs (PPE) are indispensable pest control tools in today's farming. In order for PPE to maximize its effectiveness in preventing and controlling pests, farmers must adhere to the 4 right principles: Right drug - Right dose - Right time - Right method.
